Source Analysis:
The Washington Post article is a collection of responses from Barack Obama surrounding the 2008 presidential election. Obama stated that health care reform would be in his top three priorities if elected President. Obama also laid out a rough outline of his plan which included: improving the current insurance system, mandating that all children have coverage, and a new public health care option for those who are uninsured.
Usefulness:
It is a great launching point into the debate. It provides a very brief glimpse of what Obama is going to be shooting for as President. The debate will carry on into the coming months on the types of health care reform that should (or should not) take place, but for now the public only has a small idea of what Obama plans to do about health care reform inside the United States.
